Lucy May was raised in Canada and started her first ballet classes at the age of 4. Lucy returned to the UK to train as a professional dancer and performer at Dance Theatre Academy, London, specialising in ballet, contemporary, jazz, street and tap.
Lucy has worked as a professional dancer, choreographer and director throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years, performing with various acclaimed dance companies, including a variety of TV and commercial work.
Lucy founded and directed her own dance companies, ‘Raw Energy International’ and ‘Glam Productions’, producing shows and events in London and the UK, Italy and Morocco; performing on a regular basis for the Moroccan Royal Family.
Lucy has also managed various ATG West End Theatres, including the Piccadilly, Fortune and Wyndhams Theatres over the years, giving her a greater insight into all aspects of theatre arts.
Lucy has a real passion for teaching and continues to teach and direct productions today for professional dancers, adults and children alike; sharing her 20 years of experience with students of all ages and abilities.
Lucy is thrilled to launch ‘Zone 3 Dance’ in the heart of Leytonstone; her aim is to inspire and ignite a passion for dance in the community.
